Add a New RPS Environment
If you are looking to demo RPS before committing your environment to the system, please take the opportunity to visit any of our currently active environments and register as a player. You will be able to gain valuable first hand knowledge of the system and its application in an active environment that will help you to make your decision.RPS is an exciting, versatile, system that can help you get the most out of your role play vision. It offers an unprecedented level of customization with a strong variety of tools and options that provide for a complete experience. That said, RPS is a tool - a character sheet and rulebook - not a full role play environment unto itself. Just as a pen and paper rulebook is incomplete without a setting provided by the game master, so is RPS incomplete without an Environment presented by a creator.
RPS aims to work in partnership with environment creators, with each gaining a tangible benefit from the relationship. In such a relationship, there should be several expectations had by both parties. Following is a list of what RPS provides to environment creators and in return expects from environment creators:
RPS will:
- Provide a robust and feature-rich role play system to the role play environment
- Provide strong customer support through instruction manuals, active bug resolution, and feature additions
- Provide peripheral capabilities, especially through the RPS InteractionAPI
- Provide promotion of RPS in general (and by association RPS environments) through the web and in-world
- Provide robust environment tools for the creation and management of role play environments
- Provide a method whereby both environments and RPS may maintain costs through evenly shared voluntary subscription fees
- Provide personalized environment owner support where necessary
Environment Creators will:
- Provide a quality, publicly available environment in which players can join and participate in role play
- Provide promotion of the environment through, at a minimum, the RPS website and in-world sources
- Provide active administration of the environment and support to players who need it
- Provide an entry or orientation area for players, including easily visible RPS signage for registration and system acquisition
- Refrain from the inclusion of any system other than RPS (RPS does not participate in multi-meter environments)
- Guarantee a minimum monthly contribution of L$7500 to RPS through either player subscriptions (30 subscribers), direct payment, or a combination of both
- Participate actively in updating any RPS system components that are declared in need of update by RPS
